Bamboo exists because delivery capability is the part of an IT function organisations no longer keep on the payroll, and the part they cannot do without when something big has to happen.
Why Bamboo exists
The pattern is a consistent one. Companies have reduced headcount and IT delivery has taken more than its share, because delivery has always been the variable part of an IT function. You do not keep programme managers and business analysts employed between programmes.
Then the ERP reaches end of life, or the board commits to a change, or a supplier tells you the platform you depend on is being retired. And there is nobody in the building who has done it before.
Bamboo exists for that gap.

Where we are now
Bamboo is a new company, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. What is not new is the experience behind it.
