Bamboo provides the resource that complex IT programmes need and most organisations cannot keep on the payroll. Programme management, project management, business analysis and PMO, assembled as a team around your programme.
A programme manager owns the objective end to end. They hold the business case, the plan across every workstream, the budget, and the line into the board.
Where individual projects are already running but nothing is joining them up, this is usually what is missing. We provide programme managers who have run change at this scale before and can take an objective that currently exists as a board paper and turn it into something that gets delivered.
Project managers run the workstreams inside a programme. The plan, the dependencies, the supplier relationships, and the escalation when something slips.
Most organisations have people who can do this alongside their day job. Very few have people who can do it full time for nine months without their day job falling over. We provide project managers on contract for as long as the project runs.
Business analysis is the work programmes consistently underestimate, and the reason they consistently overrun.
Somebody has to map what you currently have, process by process and department by department. What the system does, where its information comes from, who depends on it, what happens at every point where the business touches it. Then define what the new arrangement has to do. We provide analysts who have done this on system replacements before and know what gets missed.
A PMO gives the board a reliable view of where a programme actually is.
We provide PMO and governance resource for programmes that need proper control: progress and spend reporting, risk and issue management, change control, and assurance against the plan. It can run alongside your own programme team or form part of a full Bamboo delivery team.
Recovery is a different discipline from delivery. By the time a programme needs it, most of the budget has gone, confidence has gone with it, and the board wants an answer rather than another plan.
We establish where the programme genuinely stands, work out what finishing it would take and what that costs, and give you an honest view on whether it should be finished at all. Then, if it should, we deliver it.
The programmes we deliver
Replacing or upgrading the system the business runs on, including the data and process work that decides whether it lands.
Implementation and migration across the Microsoft stack, with the internal change work that decides whether anyone actually uses it.
Moving from one platform to another without losing the information the business depends on.
Network moves, device refresh, security software deployment and BYOD policy across a whole estate. A thousand handsets is a three month programme before you add bring your own device.
Deploying contact centre and telephony platforms, and the process, training and support work that has to sit around them.
Working out what is realistic, what it connects to, and what has to change before anything can be deployed. Smaller AI projects we point towards our group's AI business rather than turn away.
